The System is developed and published by Aktrea. All Intellectual Property ("IP") Rights are exclusively owned by Aktrea and its licensors, other than where such IP is from publicly available sources.
Your use of the System, website or any other information exchange media, made available by Aktrea are governed by the Terms of Service ("Terms of Service") given in the login page.
You make the decision whether or not to proceed with any activity that requests personally identifiable information, but please be aware that if you choose not to provide the information so requested, you may not be able to complete certain transactions with Aktrea.
Sometimes, such as when you register for a service, order a product or make other requests or inquiries, we will ask for specific information about you in order to provide that product or service to you or respond to your requests or inquiries. We may collect certain personally identifiable information such as contact information, including your name, e-mail address, work and home telephone numbers, fax number and a physical postal address. We may also collect information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, past experience with Aktrea products and services, detailed contact preferences or other personally identifiable information. We may use any information that we collect, including personally identifiable information, to tailor subsequent communications to you, including marketing and promotional communications, to administer and operate the System and our business and to provide and continually improve Aktrea's offerings. We will not share information that we collect, including personally identifiable information, with resellers or other third parties in order to market Aktrea products and/or services to you without your explicit consent. We do, however, provide our users a choice as to whether or not they would like to receive marketing or promotional communications. Please see Section 5, Choice.
Users may from time to time receive up-to-date information on products and services via our e-mail newsletter. Users may opt-out at any time from receiving these communications. Please see Section 5, Choice.
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring pages, date/time stamp and click stream data. We use this information to administer the System, to track users' movements around the System, to gather information about your learning and engagement, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
Data you submit online may also be combined with other information you provide through other means of communication, such as postal mail.
If you are accessing this System because of a training or other program of your employer or affiliated enterprise ("Institutional Customer"), your actions, inputs, chat data, and work on or using the System including but not limited to hours worked, areas accessed, performance evaluation, scores and choices (collectively referred to your "Performance") may be shared with the Institutional customer only in case there is a separate agreement between Aktrea and the Institutional customer, and not otherwise. In case you do not wish for your Performance to be shared with the Institutional customer, kindly let the relevant representatives of the Institutional customer know, so that they can inform us accordingly. Only on the receipt of written instructions from such authorized representatives of the Institutional customer, will we exclude such reports related to your Performance from being submitted to them.
We and our third-party partners may also employ web beacons or clear gifs (a.k.a. web beacons/web bugs), images and scripts that help better manage content on the System. Web beacons are tiny, clear graphics that are embedded invisibly on web pages. They are used to understand and monitor online movements of users so that we may better understand and improve their experiences on the System. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, web beacons are not stored on a user's computer or device.
When you click on a link to an external web site or third-party resource (including embedded widgets similar those provided by Facebook and Twitter), the third party may place a cookie from its own site. Aktrea does not control the dissemination of these cookies. You should check the relevant third-party web site for more information about these cookies.
Like other aggregated information from the System that does not identify individual Users, we may analyze and share non-personally identifiable information collected through cookies with third parties, such as Aktrea subsidiaries, affiliates, business partners, service providers, in marketing materials and in public disclosures.
We may use your personally identifiable information for purposes not directly related to products and/or services you have requested or other requests or inquiries you have made, such as to send you e-mail communications, Aktrea's newsletter, information on new products or offers and information from Aktrea's partners unless you direct us not to do so by opting-out at the point where the information is collected. Additionally, you may opt-out from use of your personally identifiable information collected online for the purpose of sending such marketing or promotional communications at any time by sending an e-mail to email@example.com or by following, where available, the unsubscribe instructions contained within each of the newsletters or promotional communications you receive.
Also, as mentioned in Section 4(a), information related to your Performance shall be treated as confidential and can be shared with your employer or affiliated enterprise (referred as 'Institutional Customer') only if there is any express agreement for the same, and not otherwise. In case, there is an agreement for the same between Aktrea and your Institutional Customer, but you still don't want your Performance to be shared with your employer, you can write to the representatives of the Institutional Customer for their confirmation. Once confirmed and any written instructions received from authorized representatives of the Institutional Customer regarding the same, Aktrea will stop submitting your Performance to them.
Aktrea may provide you with links to other sites that are owned or operated by third parties. Please be aware that Aktrea is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. Aktrea does not endorse them or make any representations about them or any information, services, products or materials found on them. If you decide to access any of the third-party sites through links, we strongly encourage you to read their privacy statements.
Aktrea is a global company. Hence, we may provide company information to our worldwide offices. The personally identifiable information you provide may be transferred to other Aktrea offices or stored on servers around the world. Also, in certain countries, Aktrea's service providers and outside contractors might undertake the collection, transfer, storage and processing of your personally identifiable information. At this point of time, users' personally identifiable information is primarily stored on Systems in Singapore.
We will take necessary steps intended to safeguard personally identifiable information stored on our Systems from unauthorized access or disclosure. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted by you to us or from our online services, and you do so at your own risk.
Aktrea strives to keep your personally identifiable information accurate and up-to-date. If you find any inaccuracies in your personally identifiable information and wish to amend, correct or delete the same, please contact us through one of the communication methods described below in Section 14, Contacting Us. Aktrea will respond to requests to update personally identifiable information within 30 days of the reception of the request.
To opt out of all future marketing and promotional correspondence from Aktrea, please follow the unsubscribe instructions contained in the e-mail communications you receive. Your request will be met within 30 business days.
Aktrea does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from users under the age of 13. Children under 13 should not send any information about themselves to Aktrea. If a child under 13 years of age, submits information through any part of the System, and Aktrea becomes aware that the person submitting the information is a child, we will attempt to delete this information as soon as possible.
Aktrea is a global company and has customers accessing the System from different parts of the world.
In certain parts of the world, residents/citizens have the right to ask for certain information. We will do our best to fulfill such requests on a best efforts basis.
